We live in a globalised world and a multi cultural society. The British Empire is at the root of mass movements of people; the transatlantic slave trade, voluntary migration, and many other matters have caused people to leave and arrive in Britain. A lot of the time society sees the presence of “otherness” as a threat. This is the soundtrack to my shortfall "Depth Perception” in which I use layers of sounds, film and images to represent the layer each culture brings to humanity. I recorded 5 tracks of me tap dancing and manipulated the sounds of the taps on the computer to create a beat.
